Quartz countertops are man-made engineered stone countertops formed by >90% ground quartz ( a natural hard mineral) and <10% resins, polymers, and pigments.  This forms a very hard surface that is extremely durable and non-porous.

Calacatta is the name of a marble that comes from quarries in the Apuan Mountains in Carrara, Italy.  It is the most sought after natural stone, probably because of its unique mix of white, gray, and hues of gold flowing through the stone in dramatic veining.  Calacatta marble was Michelangelo's favorite stone to carve out his sculptures, and it adorns cathedrals all over the world.  Calacatta Gold displays warm undertones of gold and blue-grey, with an intricate veining pattern.

Our Calacatta Gold Quartz Slabs are engineered stone that replicate Calacatta Gold beauty, but with the durability of the latest science.  Our Quartz Calacatta Gold slabs are off-white with a diagonal veining in a subdued gray and gold.  These quartz slabs are extremely solid and non-porous, and are resistant to scratching and staining, unlike the actual marble itself.  They are ideal for use in kitchens and bathrooms, food prep surfaces, tabletops, and many other uses.  The slabs easily worked with CNC-routers at your local fabricator. We also offer pre-fabricated countertop options in standard sizes if you don't want to buy an entire slab and work with a fabricator.
